The following terms and conditions apply to all services provided by abovementioned company to its customers. The services can be carried out by brand names Muotkan Ruoktu, Munay Experience and Scandalp Explorer.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
These terms and conditions are valid on services that are booked from 1st December 2025 to 1st December 2026. By booking services from the company customers agree to following terms and conditions.
Booking, prices and cancellation for accommodation
All prices are displayed to the customers once booking the services. Prices include VAT. Prices can vary based on demand and they are subject to change prior booking. The booking is binding once the price or retainer is fully paid and the payment and booking confirmation is sent to the customer’s e-mail address.
If payment is by invoice, the due date must be obeyed. Booking may be cancelled by the company if the price or retainer is not fully paid by the due date or if valid credit card details are not provided.
Customer cancellations must be sent via email to contact@muotkanruoktu.fi. The booking is cancelled once the e-mail is received by the company.
Payment conditions and cancellation fees:
23. December 2025 – 6. January 2026
- full payment upon booking
- minimum 61 days prior arrival; 50 euros office cost
- 60 days or less prior arrival; 100% cancellation fee
1.-22. December 2025; 7 January – 30. April 2026, 1–22 September 2025, Event Weekends:
- Full payment upon online booking or 30% retainer with the invoice sent by the company on phone booking (for groups) and full payment deducted with the retainer 30 days prior arrival
- minimum 30 days prior arrival; 50 euros office cost
- 29 days or less prior arrival; 100% cancellation fee
Other periods:
- Full payment upon online booking or or 30% retainer with the invoice sent by the company on phone booking (for groups) and full payment deducted with the retainer 7 days prior arrival
- minimum 8 days prior arrival; Free cancellation
- 7 days or less prior arrival; 100% cancellation fee
A two-night minimum stay applies between 23. December 2025 and 31.12.2026. Any modification of booking for a shorter period will not be possible. In case of only one night stay the cost of two nights will be required for payment or cancellation fee.
Office costs and cancellation fees are deducted from the purchase price or retainer before refunding.
No shows will be treated as cancellation and full payment is demanded. Cancellation terms apply in all cases which may include, without limitation, cases of illness or flight cancellation/changes.
The company is entitled to cancel due to a force majeure event in which case the customer will receive full refund or receive a credit note for another date. The company is not liable for any damage that the consumer might suffer due to company’s cancellation. In additional the company is entitled to cancellation or any adjustments in accordance with the Muotka Ruoktu rules and regulations.
Booking, prices and cancellation for activities and tracel packages
All prices are displayed to customers once booking the services. Prices include VAT. Prices can vary based on demand and they are subject to change prior to the booking. The booking is binding once the retainer is fully paid and the payment confirmation is sent to the customer’s e-mail address.
Customer cancellations must be sent via email to contact@muotkanruoktu.fi. The booking is cancelled once the e-mail is received by the company.
Once booking an activity or a travel package a 30 % retainer must be paid with the invoice sent by the company. The full payment deducted with the retainer must be paid 14 days prior to the start of the activity or arrival.
Once the payment is by invoice, the due date must be obeyed. Booking may be cancelled by the company if the price or retainer is not fully paid by the due date or if valid credit card details are not provided.

- 30 days or less prior arrival; 100% cancellation fee

If the activity is booked together with the accommodation as a travel package the activity can only be cancelled together with the accommodation.
No shows will be treated as cancellation and full payment is demanded. Cancellation terms apply in all cases which may include, without limitation, cases of illness or flight cancellation/changes.
The company is entitled to cancel due to a force majeure event (such as flood, earthquake, drought or other natural disaster, war or terrorist attack, fire, collapse of buildings or other accident) in which case the customer will receive full refund or receive a credit note for another date. The company is not liable for any damage that the consumer might suffer due to company’s cancellation. In additional the company is entitled to cancellation or any adjustments in accordance with the Muotka Ruoktu’s rules and regulations.
Travel Insurance
Travel Insurance is compulsory for all customers taking part to any activities provided by the company. This travel insurance must cover against personal accident, death, medical expenses and emergency repatriation.
An insurance that covers cancellation, personal liability and loss of luggage and personal effects is recommended.
Governing law and venue
These terms and conditions and any non-contractual obligations arising out of or in connection with it will be governed by Finnish law.
Each party agrees that The District Court of Lapland have exclusive jurisdiction to determine any dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms and conditions.
